Sailor House

In recent years, Anholt Marina has made several improvements to the facilities for the benefit of the sailors.

On this page, we provide visitors with the service to stay up-to-date with the weather conditions in Anholt Marina as well as the number of yachts along the bridges. Anholt is placed far from the main land which is why this service is highly appreciated by the yachtsmen before going on a longer sailing. If any visitors have objections against this, please contact Anholt Marina. Information about the camera is placed at all bridges and by Sailor House.

Sailor House includes both port office, kitchen facilities and bathing and toilet facilities.

In Sailor House you will find a machine where sailors can pay port charges, for electricity and for bathing. The machine can be used around the clock and accepts credit card, which provides great flexibility for the sailors and therefore a more efficient operation.

There are electrical stands installed so the sailors only pay for the actual power consumption.

Mooring and new floating bridges

Rear - mooring bouys makes it easy for sailors to moor the boats, so they lie well - even in bad weather. We have developed a spear for the hedge mooring bouys, which is shot down in the harbour bottom and wedged so that the buoy can take the movements from the boats. The buoys are 3 meters high, with 1 meter sticking out of the water. They are therefore easier for sailors to grip without risk of damage to the boats.

In 2016 the marina was modernized with new secure and comfortable floating bridges. The number of berths was thereby expanded to 250. On all bridges new water pumps are installed and LED lights are installed on the electrical pedestals which gives a nice and cozy lighting in the dark summer nights.

During the summer there is congestion in the harbour. The isolated island in Kattegat is a magnet for sailors who have the courage for trips without land at sight. A trip to the island of Anholt is in many ways a trip in a time where nature, local residents and the many summer guests share a unique part of Denmark.

During the summer months, weather permitting, the large barbecues below Sailor House are lit. It is a great service for the sailors and it should also prevent one-time grilling on the bridges. It is a popular activity, so it is important to find a table before lobsters and steaks can get grilled.

At the island you can also find:

  • Gasoline/diesel
  • Bicycle Rental
  • Gas
  • Shopping
  • Launderette
  • Ship Chandlers
  • Restaurant
  • Wi-Fi

Beaches and Blue Flag

Almost the entire island is surrounded by white beaches. One can always find shelter and there are child-friendly water depths. A small tropical paradise in Kattegat with plenty of sunshine hours.

Anholt Vesterstrand has the Blue Flag in 2022 as well. The country's Blue Flag beaches offer good facilities, water safety and good environmental conditions. The flag is awarded for one year at a time and must be approved by both a Danish and an international jury. The criteria for water quality, safety, information, environment and facilities must be met in order to receive the Blue Flag.

Anholt Marina is also registered at the on-line directory for Danish marinas. MarinaGuide sends out newsletters with facts about events at the marinas.
